'Crust & Ember Pizzeria began with a simple dream: to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Brown family in 1992, our pizzeria started as a small, family-run spot with recipes passed down through generations.

Oliver Brown, our founder, learned the craft of pizza-making during her travels across Italy, studying under master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she set out to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza, using traditional methods and the finest ingredients.

What began as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a beloved local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We still rely on the same wood-fired oven techniques, make dough fresh daily, and source top-quality ingredients whenever possible.

Today, 'Crust & Ember Pizzeria' remains a family-owned and operated business, with the second generation of the Brown family now leading our dedicated team. While we’ve adopted some modern innovations, the core of our work remains the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
